Hi there

I work on a Mac OSX El Capitan and since the upgrade to 2014.5 all my scores and parts are printed WITH the display colors, although this feature is set to off in the print dialog box!

I've googled this because I thought I would definitely not be the only one encountering this bug (?) but very strangely I have found nothing on this topic.

Anyone?

I have not heard of that before.

I suggest that you also post in the user forum on MakeMusic’s own web site.
Perhaps some user there has experienced the same issue.

You could also contact the folks in Tech Support at MakeMusic.

The problem persists. Today I tried to turn off display colors before printing or exporting to pdf. Guess what; screen: no color; printing results STILL in color! Know why? I think I do... when I return to preferences ... display colors is switched on again. Somehow, giving the print command turns the colors on, on screen and on print. This is really very strange...

Please specify the steps you've already taken, so that we can rule out things.

- Have you e. g. tried trashing your preferences file?
- Tested a brand new user account? *)
- Rebooted?

*)
Problems can be caused by incorrect, conflicting or corrupt user preferences across a range of different frameworks; corrupt user cache files; problem processes that the user is running. Testing the problem in a brand new user account can identify whether the problem is system-wide (i.e. a direct problem with application code and the OS); or some issue relating to the user account as listed, which can be fixed locally. As this is a rare (though not unheard of) problem, it's likely that it can be remedied at your end and is not some fatal flaw.
