Kontakt 5.6.5 (audio unit)

I haven't used finale 2014.5 with Kontakt 5 in awhile. Yesterday, I updated to 5.6.5 and now Finale isn't reading Kontakt. Has anyone read anywhere that this is suddenly an issue or am I the lucky winner of being the first? I'm on El Capitan and have been for sometime — and it all worked until yesterday.

If you just updated your Kontakt, that could very well be the issue. I would open a case with Finale tech support.

Hi,
My Kontakt 5.6.8 won't produce any sound in Finale either. Moreover, 'Audio Setup' in Finale has become inactive. The thing is I've just traded my old card for Steinberg UR22mkII and upgraded to Win 10, so it might be either a HW or SW bug. NB. Creative Audigy worked fine with this version of Kontakt in Win 7/64 bit...

If you've opened any application that suports ReWire, Finale will have switched to ReWire mode. Try going to MIDI/Audio / Device Setup / Reset ReWire.

You'll have to do this again any time you've opened a ReWire app in the mean time.
This is monumentally stupid, but MM seems to have no interest in changing it.
