Printing parts

Hi all,

I'm experiencing some problems with printing parts in Finale 25 on Windows 10. I just bought version 25 and although I'm very happy with it, I'm unable to print any parts anymore. There's no list of the score and parts in the printing dialog, and no matter if I select Check All, Check None or Check Current, it keeps printing just the score and nothing else. I've tried rebooting my system and to restore Finale's preferences, but that doesn't help. Also, printing in all other programs works just fine.

I have the same problem, but I don't use the Microsoft Print to PDF driver. My default printer is a local network HP LaserJet, so the Makemusic solution doesn't work for me. I posted a support request to MM -- we'll see what they come up with.

BTW: If I open my score in Finale 14.5, all the print options appear OK and I can print score/parts/whatever. I'm just worried about editing a score in Finale 25, but going to an earlier version to print.

The Customer Service rep from MM had me collect some system information data files. He also suggested I reinstall my printer.

So, I deleted my HP printer, went to HP.com and downloaded a new driver install package, and reinstalled the printer. That seems to have fixed the problem.

But, it seems strange the display of score/parts options is so tied to a printer that otherwise works fine. Oh, well....

Not at all. 2014.5 is a 32 bit app; 25 is a 64 bit app.

nice that it was that simple. Installing the latest print driver may benefit other applications also.
