Hi there.

Win10 64bit and Finale 25.4 has problem with Realtek ASIO drivers (not loading at all) and Yamaha Steinberg USB ASIO Driver (Steinberg UR242) which works, but takes very long time to load Finale, up to 30 sec on M.2 SSD drive. Direct Sound drivers works fine.

Anybody else experiencing such a problem and possible solutions because I'd really like to use ASIO?

Regards

I never knew that Realtek had ASIO drivers...

Make sure Finale is not starting in ReWire mode. That can also delay the startup and give errors.

It is not, rewire makes another problem, needs to be reset every time when started Finale after Cubase, so I disabled it (renamed rewire dll)

If you just upgraded to 25.4 you'll need to disable it again (if you haven't)

I avoid ASIO when possible. Is it necessary? I've never had to use it.

OK, ok. But that's the error I get when ReWire is the issue...
