using V3.0 with winXP

I just loaded my V3.0 on my new computer with winXP and the display is not correct. The staff is ok but the treble clef is showing up as &, the notes don't look like notes, and generally the music notation is being displayed as keyboard numbers, symbols and letters.

Any advice on how or if I can change anything in the XP system that will correct the graphics problem.

Does 3.0 have a custom install? I can't remember.
If it does, just install the true-type fonts. You can install the PS fonts if you have a PS-compatible printer.
If not, just copy the fonts to the XP font directory and install them.

Another thought--make sure that the fonts are going into the proper directory on XP.
