Finale only inputing single pitch in speedy entry

When I use speedy entry it only lets me inputs a B in the treble staff. I can control rhythm and everything else as normal. This only happens on speedy entry, when I use simple entry the notes input as the notes played on the midi keyboard. I'm using an M-Audio oxygen61 on mac 10.13.2 and finale 2014.5. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
