looking for new audio card

I just purchases a new HP desktop using Windows 10. It comes with an onboard sound card. I want to upgrade it and am looking for suggestions of cards that work well with Finale. I use Finale 2014.5. I would also like to know if there are sound cards to avoid like the SoundBlaster series.

The AudioPhile requires a PCI slot, which a new computer may not have.
