Has anyone managed to get MIDI over Bluetooth working? Particularly from/to an iPad or Mac? I'm wondering about the possibility of using a keyboard-playing app on my iPad as a MIDI input for Finale.

On my Mac, Audio MIDI Setup shows my iPad as a source for MIDI input, and I can connect to it. It is then listed in drop-down lists for MIDI input devices, such as in Finale's MIDI Setup dialog. However, I can't get any app to 'send' any MIDI data. I can play the keyboard in Garageband, but nothing comes over. I have another keyboard app called Virtuoso, which has settings to turn on Bluetooth MIDI, but again nothing is sent.

I have heard it is possible, but via Wi-fi, with Pianist Pro.
On Youtube, a demo http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UrYqecx1vw0
See Moocow Music.
Manual : http://moocowmusic.com/PianistPro/Manual/ManualTOC.html.
I couldn't find any app using Bluetooth for sending midi data.

The feature is built into iOS: the app just has to call it. But if even Garageband won't send MIDI across a BT connection that my Mac says is connected and available, then I don't know what's going on.
