I’m using Finale 2012 on my MacBook Pro, early 2011, El Capitan. Apart from the Human Playback issue, it is working fine. Now I have a new iMac 2019, Catalina. I transferred all my files from my old computer and of course the Finale icon is inactive. I would like to upgrade it, to use it on this new computer. How can I do that?
I read that some version is not working well with Catalina. Which version should I upgrade to?
Is it possible to just upgrade it and not to buy a whole new version? I have the CD, so I suppose I could keep the old version on my laptop.
Thanks in advance.

You should contact the folks at MakeMusic, and ask whether you can get an upgrade discount for upgrading from Finale 2012 to Finale v26.

In the past, at least, one could get the upgrade price no matter which previous version. My history is something like
2004->2005->2011->2014.5
and I've always been charged for an upgrade only.
