Hi,
This may have already been covered in here --- but my brain is tired and I cannot find what info I need.

I upgraded my MacBook to Big Sur. A few days later, I tried to open my Finale 2012. I got a message that it is no longer compatible (Big Sur). I went to Finale (make music) and downloaded the "finale vs.25 upgrade". I still cannot open Finale.

Do I have to make a purchase the upgrade to Finale 26?

Finale 2012 and 25 are not compatible with MacOs 11 (Big Sur). Only Finale 26 is, not without a few problems, reported here and on the Finale blog.

So, I have to purchase the $149 upgrade?

Either that, or downgrade the OS.

Or use an external startup disk containing an older MacOs.
