Articulations and slurs stacking not working

Hello,

I'm trying to add some simple smart slurs and articulations. However, the result is pictured below every time. All the document options and settings are correct when it comes to default spacing of slurs and articulations. My only guess is that since this is a file I received from someone using Finale 27.4 and I have 26.3 something is going wonky.

Thanks for the help in advance!

Welcome to the forum!

1) You have posted in the forum for hardware issues, but I suspect that this issue is data specific. Read on:

2) Your example could be a (missing) .FAN file issue.
Check the .FAN files for the music font(s} used in the project.

Sorry for the incorrect forum location!

I double checked and do have all the .FAN files for the fonts used. Any other ideas?

Attach a sample of the file giving you trouble here and we can take a look.

I didn't have trouble with the up-bow articulation or the slur in 2014.5 or 27, so I don't know.

The problem comes for me not in applying slurs and articulations but in stacking them. In mm. 9 in your png, they aren't stacked correctly according to Finale's automatic music spacing. Do they stack in other places ok for you?

Articulation stacking has nothing to do with music spacing.

How do you think it should look?
