problem with how the music sheet looks like

if anyone can help ! the problem is that when i open a new finale sheet with two or more musical instruments for example piano and flute on the music sheet appear two long trianfular marks ! that does not appear on windows xp only on windows vista. I suspect maybe it is a java problem!

This sounds like you are using a version of Finale that is not supported on Vista.
Try this:
Click on your Staff Tool and then highlight the group handle (the little white box next to the group name). Go up to your Staff Menu and choose Remove Group.
This should take care of the blue triangles.
