(Finale 2000, Win98)
In Page Layout I've optimized the first 7 systems of a piece hoping to reduce the space between the voice and piano staves. I need to maintain a wider spacing for the remaining systems to allow for multiple lyrics. When I try to move the voice staff using the Staff Tool, all staves in the piece are affected, not just systems 1 through 7. Can anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong, or better yet, what I should be doing right? Thanks.

Switch to Page View, and switch to Staff Tool.
If you have optimized, you should see TWO handles on each optimized staff. Dragging the upper handle will move the staff in all systems. Dragging the lower handle will move the staff in that system only.
