TAB Alignment?

I have Finale Print Music 2006, on a Mac. Sometimes the Guitar TAB does not align with the notation. It usually happens when I move a number to a different line, everything squashes up to the far left, instead of being evenly spaced. I have tried 'space music evenly'. Any help gratefully received.
