A couple of nasty problems with the Suffix Editor I have discovered. If these haven't bitten you yet, be forewarned.

WARNING:
This is not documented (bug?):
Chord suffixes are internally saved by suffix editor SLOT POSITION.
IF YOU DELETE A SUFFIX SLOT, from within the Suffix Editor, ALL SUBSEQUENT SUFFIXES WILL SHIFT DOWN an index number and you will have the wrong chords in your score!!!

WARNING:
Chord suffix libraries do not export beyond any gap in the suffix index number.
If you have indexes 1,3 defined, only 1 will be exported when you 'Save Library'.
Unfortunately, importing a chord suffix library does not fill the missing slots either; if any suffixes are not defined, they are simply added at the END of the suffix set.
If you edit a suffix, deleting each character, then exit the Suffix Editor dialog, the suffix index will be deleted. You cannot replace this index position, even by using 'Move Up' on a new suffix entry - the missing index is skipped over! There is also no way to create or edit a suffix to assign it to an index position.
If you recreate the suffix to change alignment (after customizing a font), it will be created as the last index.
To prevent gaps in the indexing, the only solution seems to be: NEVER EXIT THE SUFFIX EDITOR DIALOG before re-entering the suffix to capture the new font metrics you want.

There appears to be no way to update a chord library in existing documents other than to delete the chord entry and retype it.

If you have many documents that need an update of suffix spacing this is a major hassle. There is no way to load a library and have it overwrite existing entries (either by index or character sequence). Copy and pasting the updated chord into the score from another document will look fine but THE SUFFIX IS NOT CHANGED: if you create a new chord using the suffix in question, it will still use the old metrics, even after a newer version was pasted in.

However, if the suffix does not exist, pasting it will also add a suffix entry - to the end of the list. This is not much help since you must delete the chords from your score and re-type them to use the newly added suffix entry.
