This is not a multimeasure rest shape, but rather symbols for resp. 4 measures, 2 measures, and 1 measure = 7 measures in total.
Usually symbols are only used when there are just a few empty measures (say, less than 9 measures).
Some users prefer symbols, others prefer the shape - it's a matter of taste.
To get a shape instead of the symbols, de-select the option "Use Symbols for Rests Less Than:".
You can de-select the option "Use Symbols for Rests Less Than:"
in
Document Options - Multimeasure Rests.
This step will affect all new multimeasure rests.
Multimeasure rests created earlier will not, automatically, change.
To update all multimeasure rests to use a shape, select all the measures in the document, remove multimeasure rests, and create multimeasure rests.
To edit only a single multimeasure rest, select it, and context-click the selected area.
In the context menu, choose
Multimeasure Rests > Edit...

What web browser are you using?
The attached .tif graphic doesn't seem to display in Mozilla Firefox.

Thanks, Peter. I'd tried updating, but the measure is completely blank when I create a multi measure rest again. Any thoughts?

OK, so you now got rid of the symbols.Bakermusic1 wrote:Thanks, Peter. I'd tried updating, but the measure is completely blank when I create a multi measure rest again. Any thoughts?
Then the next step is to ensure that a shape is selected for multimeasure rests:
Document Options > Multimeasure Rests
In the top pane (= the Shape pane), in the field next to the button "Select...", do you see the number '1'?
For use with the Maestro font, the shape #1 looks good.
For use with the Jazz font, the shape #100 looks good.
To select (or create) a shape of your own, delete the number in the field, and click the button "Select...".
