scores wont' load, must be in wrong place

I do not know where my MUS files should be located in order for my Finale 2006 to open them.
I must have moved them from the original place. Even though I looked to see where Finale was wanting to find those files, when I put the files there, they still wouldn't load.

The mus files can be wherever you want them, except in the recycle bin. Will they open if you double-click on them?
