I have not been able to import/open files created on a Mac (Finale 2004) on a PC (Fnale 2004). Keeps saying Invalid File Type.

Two ideas:
1) When importing from Mac, make sure that the files names end with the .MUS extension.
2) Before transferring the .MUS file, compress it as a .ZIP file.
Mac OS X 10.3 Panther can create .ZIP files (Look in the Finder's File menu).
The .ZIP file format is a common file format in Windows, and most Windows machines already have one of the free utilities that can unpack .ZIP files.

A remark : most of the time, double clicking on the file won't work to open it.Biffbo wrote:I have not been able to import/open files created on a Mac (Finale 2004) on a PC (Fnale 2004). Keeps saying Invalid File Type.
Launch Finale first, and then in the File menu, use open.
Then save the file, it will later on open normally with a double-click.
