Adding Sound effects and new instruments

What i was hoping is that in the future that i would be able to add sound effects like a gunshot for example ( in wav or midi format ) to the music ( either with it's own Stave or simply a marker indicating it ) because that would be great and help me seriously on a song i am working on.
