Dear Finale creators,

Here is another of my wishes: A function to move one note of a chord an octave down or an octave up. In writing piano music (pop and jazz) a lot of times I wish the chord to be lower or higher, but not an octave, but something like a third. So this function would really help me.

Bye,

Tijs

I thought there was a JW plug-in that would do this, but I don't seem able to find it.

The plug-in JW Staff Polyphony has the chord feature Rotate:
Rotates the chord by moving the top/bottom note an octave.

In Simple Entry, Ctrl-click on the top note. It alone should turn red. Press Shift+down-arrow to move it down an octave. This should be faster than digging out the JW plug-in sub-function if you just have one to do. If you have many, then the plug-in is better.
