Make it so that I can drag any note anywhere. Make it graphical so that if I drag a quarter note it can be dropped in slot. Those slots would be a setting, perhaps the same setting as quantize. so that there are 16 places in a bar that I can drop a note by dragging it from anywhere on the page.
Logic does this well. If i have 4 quarter notes 1 per beat. I can drag them all to the first beat and make a chord out of it.
I just want the flexibility to move anything anywhere, notes rest. Also the value of the note would stay the same. Perhaps if I pressed option and drag the note head up or down, I can change the duration of the note.
If any of this already exists please forgive my lack of understanding.
