1) in print dialog box, we could have options like:
- print all
- print from page _ to page _
- print specific pages _ (separated by commas)
that would make easier to print 2-up when mounting 'sets' of parts.

2) the repeat tool could have a feature like expression, to select staff lists to display the repeat texts. sometimes i want a "da capo al fine" to be displayed only in top score staff, but in all parts.
if i select "show no ending repeats" in staff properties, after extraction i have to turn it on again.

and when we will have finale for linux?

thanks, coda.

ad 1) Finale has all these options and some more...
ad 2) turn off "do not show ending repeats" is easy with the plug-in "global staff system settings"

peter

there is NO option for "printing page 1 and 8" with 2-up, for example.

if i want to mount a score set in a a3 page in a way that pages 4-5, 3-6, 2-7, 1-8 (a4 size) fit together, so I can put one inside the other to bind them together.

about the repeats, even if i use the global staff atributes to turn endings off, the extracted parts still have it off too. what i wanted in finale is something like the expressions, with programable staff lists for parts and score. got it?

juliano,
I do not have an a3 printer. but: when I want to print 2 pages on one a4 sheet, I can select the pages I want and print them. When I put "1,8,2,7" in the last line of the dialog box I get pages 1 and 8 on one page and pages 2 and 7 on the second page. Got it?

2. You can turn endings ON with the global staff attributes BEFORE you extract parts and turn endings OFF again after extracting parts!! Got it? (When my score is finished I make a copy and do some things like endings and measure numbers for all staves before I extract parts)

oh, sorry! i didn't see that "page range" in the bottom of print dialog box!
maybe it should be together inside the "print range" square...

about the endings, i use the same solution as you at moment.
but it is a little annoyng to turn it off, extract parts, turn it on again when you have too many files to work, isnt it?

thanks for answers

I think it is much easier than working with staff lists...
