Just switch to scroll view and drag it as far as you want, then back to page view to see the result.

I hadn't realized it, but you are right. It just runs off the page to the left. I tried it in Finale 2010 and Finale 2008 with the same result.

I agree. probably not a "bug", just a shortcoming.

By default, Finale only draws the ending bracket over the ending's first measure and last measure.
And that's sufficient, actually.
However, sometimes your publisher insists on having the bracket drawn over all the measures between the ending's first and last measure.
And you have to create the layout your publisher wants.
That's the "curse" of being a professional engraver.
After all, it's the one who "pays for the music" who decides "how the music plays".
As a workaround you can use the Smart Shape Tool's sub-tool Custom Line Tool to draw a horizontal line (in Scroll View!).
The horizontal line will automatically adjust itself across system breaks and page breaks.
You can find out what line thickness the horizontal line should have, by looking in Document Options - Repeats.
To make the line perfectly horizontal, hold down Shift when you double-click and drag.
