Note Position Tool

I wish changes made with the note position tool were more permanent. If you move a grace note, for example, then later come back to the bar and change a different note in the measure, the grace note will revert to its original position, and you have to move it back. This can be extremely frustrating, and unnecessarily time consuming. If you want the program to be helpful and always suggest what it thinks is the most logical layout, you can always include a setting (i think there might be one already) to revert to the original layout.

next question: do makemusic representatives read these posts and seriously consider any of the suggestions? do any improvements to the program actually come from this page?

To your first point: In Document Options>Music Spacing, make sure that Manual Positioning is set to "Incorporate."

To your second point: No. They do not. They don't even take suggestions from the official forum, at http://www.finaleforum.com/forums/.
If you want suggestions to be considered, submit them through the support page, at http://www.finalemusic.com/Support/Default.aspx

Hmmm... I always found that it worked with MUSIC SPACING - GRACE NOTE SPACING - KEEP CURRENT.
