How do I remove "[staff 5]" but keep "Violin 1" on the first staff? Thanks.

That’s all done in the Staff menu > Groups and Brackets > Edit…

It's on my score on screen, however, it doesn't appear on hard copy. So perhaps
I shouldn't be overly concerned about it. Still I wonder why it's not showing up on screen
for you.

The file you u/l is a violin part not a score. Did you mean to u/l the score itself?
