Thank you, miker and motet
Two things to try. To get to the screen that Motet posted, click the three dots to the right of headings, which will bring up the menu, then follow Motet's picture example. If the box is already checked, try the following:
-click the windows key + i to display the settings.
-in the search box type "developers"
-select "use developer features"
-scroll down to "file explorer"
-check the box "show file extensions"

Jose,
On your desk top, no other program running or open, type File Explorer in the search field at the bottom of your screen. This will open where you need to be. Don't use Finale and or certainly not chrome to do this.

Are you sure it is a Finale file? What if you rename it jose.musx. Try that.
The name itself isn't important to a degree but the file extension is and it must be a file made by Finale.

Installing Finale should have assigned .bakx to Finale, so I don't know what that didn't happen.
Did you click "Mas aplicationes?" Do that, and hunt for C:/Program files/MakeMusic/Finale/27/Finale.exe.
Or, open the file from within Finale from the File menu rather than trying to open it from Windows.
