Playback Stops After Bar 51!?!

Hello everybody,
I hope someone has a solution for my problem. When playing back some of my orchestral scores (wheter it be with the Garritan plugin or with Apple's software synth), playback just stops after bar 51.
When I try to enter a bar number larger than 51 in the playback window, it gets reset to 52:1 before playback, and then playback doesn't start at all.
It is always bar 51, on several different scores. Apart from this, I cannot pin it down any better, since some scores just work fine and some don't. Exporting to Audio File works, though.
Any suggestions would be fine...
Thanks,

Just an idea:
What are your settings in
Program Options > View > Measure Numbers
?
Selecting "Display Actual Measure Numbers" might fix the problem.

Thank you for answering.

This is probably not going to be it, but just in case : Is your Playback controls fully unfolded ? The little arrow on the bottom left allows you to access more options, a.o. playback until "end of piece" or until a specific measure.

I must confess that I feel rather stupid now. That was exactly the problem. I never touched these controls (I hadn't realized they were there, actually, even though I had used other controls from that part of the window, like tempo, etc...) and I haven't the slightest idea how they got set in the first place...
Plays all the way through now, smooth as a baby's behind.
Thank you very very very much!

Sometimes a shot in the dark can bring some light.
On a side note, I always wondered why the Playback control windows always opens up in its minimized form, even after you save preferences with the window unfolded...

Thank you, michelp, for your advice. I knew that the solution must be simple, but I couldn't find it. "Playback Settings / Stop at / end of the piece." I've been using Finale since 1988 or so, but I still get stumped now and then. I registered for this forum so I could express my thanks.
