Hello again,
I have several pieces which start with a single note in the first measure of the piece. Finale always wants to put a rest in to finish up the count in the measure. Is there a way to turn off this function? I have searched the PDF for beats per measure, ignore beats, and whatever else I could, but still could not find the solution.
Thanks in advance
Jim Mol

Thanks for the information. Part of the problem is that I was thrown into using Finale, months sooner than I planned. So I am not up on it. The second part is that I am not a professional music person. I have had some theory, but that was years ago. So forgive me if I seem lost; I am. I am happy to take time to look for something, but have to balance time looking with working. So be assured that I will not ask unless I have first looked, and will look again if you can point me in the right direction.
Thanks again
Jim
