Regarding my template I made...
I have system locks turned off. But when I start to enter notes, I get strange spacing (as you can see in the screenshot, this is after I've deleted the notes).
I always have to Select all, CTRL+M, and "remove system locks" even though the systems aren't locked! This fixes the spacing. It's just annoying to have to do this. Seems unnecessary.
Here's a link to the Finale file: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/175 ... issue.musx. Can anyone show me what I have set incorrectly?
Thanks,
Dan

It's hard to say, depending on the way you have your Finale preferences set up. Make sure that under Preferences > Edit you have "Reflow Measures" set to "Across Systems (Maintain System Locks)". Does that fix it?

I looked at that; the box is checked already.N Grossingink wrote:It's hard to say, depending on the way you have your Finale preferences set up. Make sure that under Preferences > Edit you have "Reflow Measures" set to "Across Systems (Maintain System Locks)". Does that fix it?

I opened your file and entered notes but I wasn't able to duplicate your spacing issues. Strange. I'm on my laptop, so when I get a chance I'll try it on my desktop and see if I get the same problem you do.

Sounds like the problem is with my global Finale preferences, then.Serenity Musician wrote:I opened your file and entered notes but I wasn't able to duplicate your spacing issues. Strange. I'm on my laptop, so when I get a chance I'll try it on my desktop and see if I get the same problem you do.
