I'm using Songwriter 2012.
When I select Document > Hide Courtesy Items, the clef on the new line disappears as well. I only would like the new line clef to show.
Any advice?

It's working properly for me. Can you post the document where you're having the problem?
We don't need the whole thing. Just the first page, if the problem occurs there.

OK, attached is the chart. The 6th line (shortest one) has a line that's bass clef. When I selected Hide Courtesy Clef, the real clef is hidden as well.
Any thoughts?

For reasons know only to them, the Lead Sheet only shows a clef on the first line. And it's a setting you can't get to.
Solution: Set up a new doc with the Setup Wizard, and just choose blank staff. There is a clef on every line. Now, your bass clef is where it belongs, and you can still hide the courtesy clef.
You can't, however, show the bass clef in that one system, and not have the treble clef show in all the others. (Not that I can fathom why anybody would want to...)

Hi Miker:
Thanks, but not sure how to select blank staff. My choices for a new doc are: setup wizard, lead sheet, and template. None of them offer an option for blank staff. If I select a lead sheet template, it produces a page full of blank staves with a clef only on the 1st line. Changing the clef 6 lines down, only shows the courtesy clef at the end of the previous line.

Sure. Read what I said:
"Set up a new doc with the Setup Wizard..."
In the Setup Wizard first screen, choose Engraved Style. In the next screen, where you have the choice of instruments, choose Blank Staff.
