So lately I've not been able to access speedy entry in the linked parts on some documents. I haven't really worried about it because I haven't needed to use it until now.

I can't find any pattern between the files that I can't use speedy entry in the parts because even brand new files will have different results.

I did just upgrade my OS to macOS Mojave, but this was an issue before the upgrade.

Any suggestions to get speedy entry to work?

A voiced part doesn't allow certain edits. For that reason, Speedy Entry isn't usable. Simple Entry should also be defeated.

Thanks Zuill. That would do it. Any ideas how to do things like enharmonic spellings in the parts still?

With voiced parts, you can't. I have used staff styles in linked parts to get only one part showing in a 2 part staff, as opposed to voiced parts. That should allow enharrmonics.
