Hi there,
I just updated to the Finale 26 update and I am no longer able to update document styles. I'm on a Mac.
I used to have no problem with it.
Now, any new document I create will have the version I saved a week ago. It's not the default.
And I've double checked and the document style file is saving correctly. So it's more like Finale is not reading the updated document. Restarting Finale and my computer has not helped.
Any ideas?
Thanks,
Document Styles in Finale 26.01

My guess is that you are looking in the wrong folder.
There are two identical looking folder hierarchies of Finale folders.
One folder hierarchy resides in the Library folder at root level (system level).
This is Finale’s “own” folders that serve as a backup copy in case Finale can not find a specific file.
Path to the “backup” Document Styles:
(Hard drive)/Library/Application Support/MakeMusic/Finale 26/Music Files/Document Styles
The other resides in the Library folder in your user account.
This is where you should save your custom Document Styles.
Path to the “custom” Document Styles:
(User account)/Library/Application Support/MakeMusic/Finale 26/Music Files/Document Styles
NB:
In your user account the Library folder may be hidden.
From the Finder, hold down Option, and pull down Finder’s Go menu.
Because you hold down the Option key, the user account’s Library folder is listed in the Go menu.

Thanks Peter. That fixed it. I'm curious then how come looking in the Hard Drive path used to work.
Whatever the case, saving in the User path works.
