I am using Finale Print Music 2014 on Windows. I have imported a number of my old files from Finale 2004 (long story involving hard drive crash) and many beams on opposing staffs are colliding. I cannot find in the documentation if there is a way to adjust the beam angle, or the offset from the note heads like I could in my old Finale. Am I missing something? Also, does this program support cross-bar beaming?

Many thanks!

I’m not at the computer to check, but, I’m pretty sure the answer is no to both questions.

Wow, that is a major bummer. So, it can import them, display them, yet not allow me to manipulate them. I am beginning to regret that I spent my $100 on this, since these are kinda basic things one needs to do on a regular basis. I was also led to believe that here was an algorithm that would look out for collision of graphics like that. This is very disappointing.

At his point I cannot afford the upgrade, so gotta make due with some workarounds.

You should at least be able to adjust the staff spacing so things don't collide.
