Hi all,

Just wanted to note here that my Fin 26 score looks like perfection on screen, but when I export the score as a PDF using the graphics tool (my usual method), quite a lot (but not all) articulations in the PDF are in incorrect positions. (Edit: same bad result with Print>PDF).

I began the file in Fin 2014.5, opened it in Fin26 and chose to update the articulations at Fin26's invitation, then spent quite some hours positioning them to my exact liking, only to find that the PDF revealed these unexpected results.

Rather than examine the WYSINWYG issue, I have a plan: export the whole thing out as XML, import into Fin26, then start editing and proof-reading yet again, in the hope that everything will behave.

Hector Pascal.

Update: I am having some success making the articulations stick by deleting the naughty ones (identified in the PDF, even though they look perfect in the Finale file) and replacing them with articulations that are not auto-stacking. It seems to be a workaround which helps.

Cheers,
HP.

Update 2: The workaround worked, so I am going to move on.
Cheers,

I don't have Finale 26 so I can't speak from personal experience. I'm wondering why you would open an older file and ask Finale to update the articulations. Wouldn't you want them to appear unupdated as in the original, presumably correctly positioned?
