Finale 26 on Mac with MacOS 10.1.3 (Mojave).

When I use the Patterson 'Beam over barline' plug-in supplied with Finale, two notes, one black, the other grey, appear after the barline. In order to position these notes (with their possible accidentals) at the right distance from the barline, I want to be able to use the Note Mover tool (Special Tools) on both the black and the grey notes. Can someone please tell me how I can access handles for both the black and the grey notes? I seem only to be able to move one of them at present.

The gray notes indicate hidden and don't need to be touched. You should turn off the display of hidden notes in the View menu.

Also, don't use the plugin until all entries are complete and the layout (system breaks) is finalized.

Thank you both for your replies. Motet, if I select Special Tools/Note Mover, the available handles are precisely the ones for the 'hidden' notes. Whether I make the greyed-out notes invisible in the View menu or not, the notes that remain visible — the black, not the greyed-out, ones — cannot be moved. So I am afraid this does not get me any further.

The way the plugin works is by overfilling the measure before the one in which you want the notes to appear. So, select the prior measure and the handles should appear.
