Are you saying you can't find a Snare Drum, or you can't find a Snare Drum that plays back? Can you post a sample file of what you are doing so we can see if we can find a solution?

Sorry that I won't be able to help here. I have a different version of the Aria player, so when I try to play back your file, it needs to reload the banks, That means I can't experience what you are experiencing. If I make the file work for me, then post it here, it may not work for you.

P.S.: Okay, here's your file revised. Maybe you can get this to play back properly.

Thank you, zuill, I can playback your file. It's perfect

Could you tell me the route you made to arrive to Snare Drum in your Aria Player, please?

I'm not sure how you set things up or what you really want. I actually found a quicker way to get to the best setup when I retried things.

Select the staff and use the Change Instrument utility to change the staff to Snare Drum. I know it is already Snare Drum, but this corrects the mis-match between Percussion Map and Percussion Layout.

Also, the MIDI note 38 seemed odd, since that is not in the chosen Map or Layout. Also, you seemd to have 3 sounds playing back: Snare, Snare L.H, and Snare Roll. I'm not sure you wanted those. So, I changed them, via the Transpose Percussion notes utility, to all be Snare.

Thank you very much, zuill,

Doing this route:

MIDI/Audio menu/ VST Banks & effects/ Bank 1 ARIA Player/Finale Default....

then how did you go on to get the sound of Snare Drum? I cannot find Snare Drum

You won't find Snare Drum, but Basic Orchestral Percussion. That is the Map that is needed.
