Using Finale 26.0.1.655 on a Win 7 PC, I'm writing quintets for 2 clarinets, violin, viola and cello. On the latest one, I get the following message when I try to playback ... "This session was made for Aria 1.872, while your version is 1.846. please update!" I have made dozens (maybe even hundreds) of these quintet files and I never saw this before. All of my previous files still playback OK (without the waring). After I click on the warning's "OK" box, the playback proceeds. I have never done anything with the playback dialog box or the score manager ... I always just take the automatic/default settings.

QUESTIONS:
1 - How can I see what Aria version I am using?
2 - How can I see what Aria version a file was "made for"?
3 - How do I do the requested update ... is it a download (if so where and how)?
4 - If I update to 1.872, is that going to create problems for all the files I have previously made?

Thanks for any help.

- Brent

The Settings page of the Aria player tells what version it is.

Thanks for your reply, but I don't understand. How do I see the SETTINGS PAGE for ARIA? And, when I get there, will I see the Aria version for my FINALE, or the version for "this session"?
