on Mac F25,
I have a colleague who wants a repeat on only one staff in a grouped set of staves.

On his version, and I tested it on mine, the section with checkbox "Allow Individual Edits" and the "Show On:" are greyed out. I checked Document Options>Repeats and there is no option there. I also checked Staff Attributes and deselected Items to Display>Repeat Bars, but that ruins the Staff Groups, and adding another didn't work either. What's the fix?

Instead of editing the Staff Attributes you should probably use a custom staff style where needed.

Staff Attributes are “global” (= for all the measures in the entire document).

A staff style can be applied “locally”.

I created a Staff Style "No Repeats" that indeed worked. However, it still breaks the measure lines between staff groups on the Back Repeat. Oddly, Forward repeats retain the grouped measure lines. My workaround was to use the line tool in Smart Shapes to create a long measure line between staffs.

I'm still interested in knowing why the dialog box on Backward Repeat Bar Assignment is grayed out on the lower portion. The checkbox for "Allow Individual Edits Per Staff for Ending Bracket" is uncheckable. And the radio buttons on "Show On: All Staves | Top Staff Only | Staff List are grayed out and not selectable.

Did you see my reply in the other topic you created? I answered the question there. This part of the forum is not really designed for general questions, but for feedback on the forum itself.
