Hi,
I would like to change the copyright informations at the Bottom of the pages of some concert band compositions, as I moved and changed my adress.
Do I have to open manually all my files, or is there a way of changing all my files at once ? (with a finalescript for example, I never used them).
Thanks for your help

If the parts are linked parts (inside the score), go to the Score Manager > File Info pane and change the copyright there.
If the parts are separate extracted parts, open all of the files and go to Edit > Text Search and Replace. In the options make sure you check "All Open Files".

They are old parts, all extracted parts.
So I'll try your method, thanks.
If I want to add Something (My references are on the Bottom left, and I'd like to add some text at the Bottom right) is it possible to do the same, on all open documents at once ?
Thanks

If you want to add a new text box, I think you'll have to do it one by one on each file.

Not sure how much you know JW Lua, but this is possible with it. I've never personally written a script that will add/change text boxes on every open file, but it might be worth looking into.

Very good I’ll have a look
In every case, it's not so easy to write a reliable solution in FinaleScript; and yes, it will probably take significantly more time to do it in JWLua. I tend to think that for a non-code-addict it might be the easiest to open each file seperately.
But it depends on how many files we're talking about and whether the copyright notice can be identified reliably at all, not regarding the script language.

Here are two examples attached to my message :
The water is wide - with only my website adress at the bottom
Angelus by Massenet - with all my references (adress and text about copy, on the left and the right).
If you have time, thanks to explain me if there is a chance to do this in an automatic way.
(I'd like to copy all the text (left and right) on all my files for the song "water is wide" for example.

Following up on what Motet said, legally you don't need a copyright message and your work is protected. However, if you wanted to include the copyright, here's how you do it according to the US Copyright Office:
©Year Owner.
or
Copyright Year Owner.
For instance: "©2019 Nick Mazuk" or "Copyright 2019 Nick Mazuk" are valid and legal copyright notices.
No other text is required, and technically variants of each of these are not valid. For example, these are not a valid notices:
"Copyright ©2019 Nick Mazuk"
"Copyright (c)2019 Nick Mazuk"
"© 2019 Nick Mazuk" (no space between © and year allowed)
"© Copyright 2019 Nick Mazuk"
"2019 © Nick Mazuk"
"©2019 by Nick Mazuk"
Or thousands of other variations. The one exception is that if you're on a machine that does not have the © symbol, you are allowed to substitute "(c)" for it. Or you can write out "Copyright" as shown above.
Outside of this notice, you are allowed to have other text like the stipulations or your address, but those are not required. For instance, here's a valid way to write the notice with those items:
©2019 Nick Mazuk. All rights reserved.
123 ABC St.
Example, ST 12345
Realistically, even if you write the notice "wrong", it's not going to dismiss your copyright ownership legally because you already own the copyright. And notices saying that photocopying aren't legal don't have any affect in court because again, you already own the copyright.

Of course, I am not a lawyer or any other legal representative, and this does not represent legal advice. And copyright laws may vary in your city, state, or country.

So here's my proposal.Nick Mazuk wrote: ↑Sun Sep 29, 2019 6:10 pmNot sure how much you know JW Lua, but this is possible with it. I've never personally written a script that will add/change text boxes on every open file, but it might be worth looking into.
"Search and Replace Text Blocks.lua" searches for text in all page text blocks in all open documents. If the "search" string is found, it will be replaced with the "replace" string. Then the document is saved. The script (at least this first version) doesn't care about Enigma commands which do text formatting in Finale. So basically you can search and replace them too, but better learn their syntax first. The script doesn't contain a user interface as it is aimed at batch processing.
For producing senseful results, the "search" and "replace" strings would have to be edited in the code, so you need to open the source code in JWLua's development tab.
Disclaimer : This is a JWLua script, so you need the JWLua PlugIn and need to be basically familiar with that.

Rather than your street address, you might want to instead put your email address. That might encourage people to contact you in an easy manner to purchase your publication.

Have you (anyone) had trouble changing the "Style?"N Grossingink wrote: ↑Sun Sep 29, 2019 4:59 pmIf the parts are linked parts (inside the score), go to the Score Manager > File Info pane and change the copyright there.

I have no trouble changing the text in multiple documents, but the option to change "Style" does not work.
