I got this warning when opening Finale just now (F26.1 in Mac 10.14.6). Does anybody know what it might mean in practical terms?

If anyone plans on upgrading to the new OS, it might behoove them to see if there are any favorite small utilities that might not work. I've got a bunch of them that I use in my sound file collection for various reasons. They were almost all free, so I suspect their long term compatibilty might be a problem.
So far as I groove, I'll continue to use Sierra, where my Finale setup works every day.

And I’m quite happy on High Sierra. I’ve always been an early adopter, but I got bit when I went to Mojave and my SmartScore didn’t work. I had to downgrade, which was a PITA. So I’ll be more cautious, now.

Finale works fine with Catalina. That warning is about some old eMagic plug-in that's long out of date and not part of Finale as such. Emagic were bought out by Apple several years ago.

MM, like other companies, traditionally says "wait for the release until we can be more certain".
Sierra has lots of bugs elsewhere, like PDFKit, so any OS choice is a compromise.

I don't know what PDFKit is, but I have no problem making PDFs from Fin 25/High Sierra Files from the Print function.
I haven't encountered Any bugs in my limited use of Finale, except that the Screen will flip back to the Top, or just skip away from whatever I'm trying to enter with the Mouse.
Actually, That's VERY annoying!
Hmmm, I seem to stand corrected.

That doesn't sound like a Finale problem or a Mac OS problem. Can you switch out your Mouse with another to see if that helps? How often does it happen? If infrequently, it might be hard to diagnose. You could also check the Finale Preferences just to be on the safe side. Check your mouse settings (scrolling speed) in the System Preferences.

I've had exactly the same issue. Just an hour ago, in fact. I work in scroll view, and sometimes, when I scroll forward to a particular measure and double-click on a note, it jumps back to m. 1. Interestingly enough, once it's done that, it won't do it any more in that particular document. But it will do it in another. A computer restart seems to fix it, until the next time. I wonder if it's another manifestation of VSKS?
