fermata for a silence in finale 25

hi
i have a problem when recopying the 5th of beethoven
he puts a fermata for a silence , and there is no way i can enter that in the score .
for a note , you can , for a silence finale doesn't want to do anything
any suggestions?
btw the fermata is this

You need to enter a whole rest rather than use the default rests that Finale puts in every bar. Select those measures, then go to plug-ins/Note, Beam, and Rest editing/Change to real whole rests (only do this where you want to put fermatas). Then you can put fermatas on them.

thanks for this great info , it works for the woodwinds , not for the horn trumpet and timpani , go figure..
not a big problem as long as i copy the score , so it's just for the copying, but i don't know why it doesn't work for the other measures..

Can't say without seeing your file. You can copy the rest with fermata from flute to horn, etc.

All you are doing is posting a screen shot. We need to see the actual .musx file.
