In the chart I'm making I have a rest on the 4 beat that I'd like to indicate as a strum on muted strings in the tablature.

Are you asking a notation question or a playback question, or both?

What kind of mute effect to you want to show? A left hand mute or a palm mute?

The strings are muted with the left hand and the pick strikes across them making a chick sound. I found an example...

Thanks btw!

That answers my question. I would have suggested that. I'm glad you found it. Also, if you do need playback, I recently posted a sample file for how to get that. I don't recall when or in which topic. If you need any input on that, I'll post the file.

P.S.: Here's the link. I posted my file there: viewtopic.php?f=5&t=19399&p=78748&hilit=Guitar#p78748
