Hello folks. I am a Finale user since 20+ years. Currently I use v26. There are few issues with it, but at the moment one is particularly tough. I created my own Drum Set and saved it as Library with another name. Then I load it in other documents, and... the fonts are not Maestro Percussion but just Maestro. That makes it that all my note heads I've chosen are lost and replaced by other irrelevant signs! As a result, I have to redo all of them but then... Maestro Percussion fonts are NOT present in the the 'select' box! The manual says that 'Maestro Percussion' fonts are included with the Finale 26 version. So WHY on earth I can't find them in the 'select' box ??? Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

If you just installed v26 and the Maestro percussion Font is not there, something happened with the installation. You might need to reinstall. Have you contacted Customer Support?

Well, no, I just made a titanic battle with reassigning note heads in 'Maestro' fonts. Of course, I would prefer 'Maestro Percussion' but now I have no time for a further battle and for the time being I I'll live with it.
Thanks for your feedback anyway!

Yes it is there, but still it doesn't appear in the Score Manager in the Percussion Layout selection where I created my Drum Set. There's only 'Maestro' fonts, not 'Maestro Percussion' !

First, thanks for you feedback(s)!
So, after double checking, yes, the 'Maestro Percussion' fonts ARE in C:\Windows\Fonts.
And yes, in Document Options/Fonts/Notation/Percussion Noteheads ARE set as 'Maestro Percussion' Regular 24pt.
Still, when I go to Select in the Score Manager in the Percussion Layout selection, there are only 'Maestro' fonts and no way to chose 'Maestro Percussion' fonts anywhere.

HOWEVER !!
I did all these settings in my Template made in the previous Finale 2012 version. But now, I ADDED a new stave in it and made it Percussion and... BINGO, now it comes in the Score Manager selection with the 'Maestro Percussion' fonts !! Of course, I have to re-assign all noteheads from scratch, but that solves my problem ! Still, I wonder why should it not work within my previous template? Any remarks are welcome anyway. Thanks again for all your feedback.

I just did some testing and I believe I have discovered the cause of your problem. Once I see your file, I'm pretty sure my hunch will be confirmed.

P.S.: In my picture, I created the proper staff with Maestro Percussion, then copied to the Maestro Staff. Quite unusable.

I think that the solution for me was as I described. I had done all these settings in my template made in the previous Finale 2012 version. And whatever did with checking 'Maestro Percussion' fonts everywhere, it never appeared in my Layout. I But I ADDED a new stave in that template, I made it Percussion and... BINGO, now it comes in the Score Manager selection with the 'Maestro Percussion' fonts !! Of course, I had to re-assign all noteheads from scratch, but that was ok and it solved my problem ! I still wonder why it didn't work within my previous template? But anyway, it is fixed now and I saved all my templates that way. Thanks again for all your feedback.

I still wish I could see the original template to satisfy my curiosity. If you don't mind. If my hunch is correct, one click would have saved you a lot of work.

You want me to send you my original template? Ok, no problem, that would also satisfy my curiosity, but I must see if I still have it saved in another disk. I'll come back to you later.

In fact my previous template file was made in Finale 2012 for a MIDI keyboard I had. And in Finale v26 it didn't use the Maestro Percussion fonts, even if they ARE seen in C:\Windows\Fonts, in Document options etc. But by adding a new blank staff and setting it to Percussion, in my same previous template file, it gets the Maestro Percussion fonts now. Unclear why the previous staff didn't.

That was my suspicion. And that's exactly what is set in the template file. Both Percussion Staves have Independent Font and that is set to Maestro. If that option is unchecked, then Maestro Percussion is now available in the Percussion Layout.
Off topic: I see the Percussion Layout refers to the Technics KN1000. I have one of those as well as a KN6000. Those are great instruments, and they gave me many years of valuable music.
