Using the TG Tools Easy Tremolo plugin to create a left-hand octave tremolo for piano. It's in 3/4. I notated two dotted quarter notes in succession an octave apart. Please see attached files for before and after using the plugin. Finale v. 27. Any help, much appreciated.

You are using Finale v. 27 - right?
And you are using the new SMuFL fonts - right?
Unfortunately the TG Tools Easy Tremolos plugin is not yet updated for the new SMuFL fonts.
Two ideas:
1) Instead, use the older “legacy” (= non-SMuFL) fonts that the Easy Tremolos plug-in understands.
2) Create the tremolo yourself, “manually”.
A plug-in only does what you can do yourself, “manually” (only the plug-in does it faster).
PS
According to your Forum Profile on the right you are still using version 2014.
Perhaps you should update your Profile.
