I get the Error Code 7 popups consistently.
Finale 27.3.0
MAC Ventura 13.5.2
I do have a couple third-party sounds like GABB, Garrison Personal Orchestra - nothing fancy
I have LOGIC but I rarely use it
One of the common remedies is to "reset rewire' - but my rewire is always greyed out when I go to select it.
Any other tips?

If I understand you correctly, the problem happens in all documents (= is not document specific) - right?
What I often write, is
“Please specify the steps you’ve already taken (to solve the problem), so that we can rule out things.”
If I understand you correctly, the only step you have tried, is to "reset rewire' which was not possible (= was greyed out) - right?
The usual steps to try:
- quit Finale, and launch it again,
- reset All Preferences (= a button in the Preferences window)
or, basically the same, but more drastic:
quit Finale, move the Preferences file (= 'com.makemusic.finale.fprf') away, and launch Finale again.
When Finale can not find its Preferences file, it will create a fresh, new Preferences file.
- re-boot the computer,
- test a brand new user account.

I've tried all of your steps minus the last one:
- test a brand new user account.
I'll try that later tonite.
All these steps make it seem like Finale is the problem, not third-party sounds. Good to know!

I now get this every day, and the end of my patience with Finale is now in sight. That light brightening at the end of this dark tunnel is the exit.
