After 2 days with the trial, I have purchased Finale. One thing wasn't covered under the authorization rules that I have seen. If you don't change computers, but you do install a new OS on your Mac, do you still need to deauthorize Finale and then reauthorize after the new OS is installed? Thanks much

No. I updated to Monterey some time ago, and didn't do anything in Finale. The authorization was preserved.

The absolute truth is that I've heard they were equally good for my needs. Finale was running a special pricing, and so I downloaded the trial to see how it was. And it seemed very similar to Sibelius, and so after I figured out how to do the basic tasks that I needed, and I achieved them successfully (if not slowly), I made the purchase!
