Undo "new movement" in merged file

Postby tanyaviola » Thu Jul 12, 2018 6:48 pm

I have just merged two files (originally 2 movements) and now I would like to have them continuous...so it is one long movement. I was able to move the indentation to normal, but it won't let me move the system up to match all the other systems. It won't budge. I can move all the other systems, just not the one that was originally where the new movement started. Is there a way to bypass that or "undo" where it thinks the new movement is?

Thanks!

The first system often has a different top margin. Go into page setup, and you should he able to fix it.

Page setup only shows me how it will print. I see no margins there.

I'm attaching a screenshot. You can see that the middle page, bottom system is much lower. I just want it to match the other pages but I cannot drag it up. And there's no page break so I can't delete that. That line is where the new movement originally started. But since it's all continuous now, I just want the system to all line up like the other pages.

I think Mike may have meant to say go to the Page Layout tool. If you're in that, you should see a dotted outline of the margins, which can be dragged and adjusted, or you can, while in the tool, go to the Systems > Edit Margins dialogue.

David is, of course, correct! Page Layout is what I meant. Sorry for any confusion.

And since he’s older than me, I can’t even use that as an excuse!

Try this-

In the Page Layout menu is a command called "Redefine Pages". Run this only on the page where you have the problem.

There’s never enough time to do it right, but always enough time to do it over.
