Just a silly question:
Have you tried
- Selection Tool.
- Select the region.
- MIDI/Audio menu > Retranscribe
?

Just be aware that retranscribe can also delete some items (articulations or expressions, I believe).

Just be aware of the fact that using the Retranscribe utility will result in any associated expressions, articulations, etc. to be stripped away. There are alternative techniques, such as copying the affected symbols before retranscribing, then pasting them back in—or, manually changing one occurence and using the JW Pattern Copy plugin to copy the new rhythm to other measures.

Also, sometimes rebar is an option to get the result but might be less likely to remove other items.
