Help!!!quick!!!

Hello my name is Timothy Pantages and I am curently a student at Cal State Northridge. I'm a media composition major. I'm having problems with my M-audio Oxygen 8. I have it hooked up to my pc laptop, but for some reason when I attempt to write music in Finale using the speedy entry, only one note constant note will show up no matter what pther note I play. Please help! Someone! I have deadlines this week. Any info will be much appreciated
