hi there
i encounter a very difficult problem , the slurs
in fact when i try to make a slur above the notes , it always appears below them
and the more i try ,the more i can't do it , sometimes it works sometimes not
what is the method to draw a slur above the notes every time i draw them?
thanks y'all

I suggest that you first
- enter the slur,
next
- flip the slur if needed (I suppose that you know the keyboard shortcut?).
By The Way:
Are you using Windows Finale or Mac Finale?

Mac OS X 12.6.9 (Monterey), Finale user since 1996
In Windows, after applying the slur press the letter "F" on the keyboard to flip the slur over or under. I believe Finale decides which way to initially place the slur based on the note positions.
Finale 27, Windows 10, VST: Vienna Instruments/Ensemble/Synchron, Cubase, Kontakt 5
yes finale decides which way to put the slur based on the note positions
but not all the time , i flipped the stems of a note and finale put the slur above
then sometimes even if i flip the stem then finale keeps putting the slur below
very boring all that
well i'm gonna follow your advice , press f and that's it
thanks for your intelligence!

The general engraving rule is to put the slur on the note side if all stems are pointed the same way. If they're mixed up and down, the slur goes above. As far as I know, Finale follows that.
